SCHOOL TO WORK TRANSITION CENTERS, 15112

1. Purpose

To assist students in making realistic career and employment decisions. The Transition Centers accomplish this by empowering youth with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to successfully make the transition from adolescence to adulthood.

2. Rationale for Allocation
Personal Services:

$682,831 in "A" funds is being allocated to the Central Salary Account, ORG. ID. 468000 to provide for the salaries of the Transition Center coordinators and clerical staff.

Other Current Expenses:

$140,348 in "B" funds is allocated to the Office of Curriculum, Instruction and Student Support; Instructional Services Branch; Arts, Science and Technology Section; ORG. ID. 534000 for contractual services with the Department of Health.

$25,272 in "B" funds is allocated to schools for educational supplies, instructional materials, and equipment.

3. Guidelines for Implementation

a) Funds allocated to the schools should be used to help students transition from high school into post-secondary education/training or employment.

b) Funds are to expended in accordance with the guidelines found in the "FMS User Policy & Process Flow Guide," personnel rules and regulations, and procurement law.

4. Allocation of Resources
The 15.00 TEMP FTE positions are allocated as follows:
