RESOURCES FOR NEW FACILITIES-REG EDUC, 12642

1. Purpose
Funds are provided to equip new regular education facilities.

2. Rationale for Allocation
$4,321,492 is allocated for new permanent classroom buildings based on each school's approved budget. $207,296 is allocated for new portable classrooms at $12,956 per portable and $51,824 is deferred.

3. Guidelines for Implementation
The DOE "Educational Specifications and Standards for Facilities Program Equipment List" should be used as a guide in expending these funds. A link to this document is available in Lotus Notes Budget Execution 2004-05 under Section 09a. Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ Links.

Funds are to be expended in accordance with the guidelines found in the "FMS User Policy Guide and Process Flow Guide," personnel rules and regulations, and procurement law.
