B. ALLOCATION PROPOSAL
GENERAL FUND ALLOCATIONS ARE TENTATIVE. THE AMOUNTS ALLOCATED MAY BE REDUCED BY EXECUTIVE RESTRICTIONS AND/OR INTERNAL REDUCTIONS.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS FOR REGULAR ED, 15637
1. Purpose
These funds supplement existing allocations to help schools alleviate textbook shortages, replace outdated books, acquire new technology-based instructional materials and more rapidly align their materials with the Hawaii Content and Performance Standards.
2. Rationale for Allocation
$1,339,900 is available for fiscal year 2004-05. $1,004,925 is allocated based on the projected regular education enrollment at approximately $6.00 per pupil. The remaining $334,975 is set aside for enrollment adjustment.
3. Guidelines for Implementation
Funds are to be expended in accordance to the guidelines found in the "FMS User Policy & Process Flow Guide," personnel rules and regulations, and procurement law.
