GRADE SCHOOL PRIORITY FUND, 15123

1. Purpose

To enhance direct instructional services for elementary grades.

2. Rationale for Allocation

This program provides resources to schools with elementary grades based on their projected grade three enrollment. $1,473,163 is allocated at approximately $107 per pupil. This allocation is seventy five percent of the appropriation for this year. The remainder of the appropriation will be allocated after the September enrollment count.

3. Guidelines for Implementation

Funds shall be used to enhance direct instructional services for any elementary grades and may include the hiring of temporary personnel, provided further that no funds shall be used for administrative technical support of/for facilities purposes," (Act 300, SLH 1992 Proviso).

Funds are to be expended in accordance with the guidelines found in the "FMS User Policy & Process Flow Guide," personnel rules and regulations, and procurement law.
