B. ALLOCATION PROPOSAL
SCHOOL TO WORK TRANSITION CENTERS, 15112
1. Purpose
To assist students in making realistic career and employment decisions. The Transition Centers accomplish this by empowering youth with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to successfully make the transition from adolescence to adulthood.
2. Rationale for Allocation
Personal Services:
$612,615 is being kept in the central salary account to provide for the Transition Center coordinators and clerical staff.
Other Current Expenses
$107,835 is being held at the Office of Curriculum Instruction and Student Support, Instructional Service Branch (ISB) for contractual services with the Department of Health.
$24,661 is being allocated to schools for educational supplies, instructional materials, and equipment.
3. Guidelines for Implementation
a. Funds allocated to the schools should be used to help students transition from high school into post-secondary education/training or employment.
b. Funds are to expended in accordance with the guidelines found in the "FMS User Policy & Process Flow Guide" and procurement law.
4. Allocation of Resources
