B. ALLOCATION PROPOSAL
AFTER SCH LRNG CNTR-WAIPAHU SCHOOLS, 13023
1. Purpose
To plan and implement Community Learning Centers at four Waipahu Complex schools after school, during inter-sessions and summer breaks to provide students learning and recreational activities in safe, drug-free environments, improve reading and study skills, and provide opportunities for parents to improve their own skills and become better role models for their children.
2. Rationale for Allocation
This allocation represents a subsequent allocation of $159,720 in "T" funds to three of the four Complex Schools. $53,240 is being allocated to each of the following schools: Ahrens Elementary, Waipahu Elementary and Waipahu Intermediate. These funds are to be used to allow the schools and their community collaborators to provide academic and enrichment activities for youth and families in the Waipahu community.
3. Guidelines for Implementation
Funds are to be expended in accordance with the guidelines found in the "FMS User Policy and Process Flow Guide," personnel rules and regulations, and procurement law.
