B. ALLOCATION PROPOSAL
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS FOR REGULAR ED, 15637
1. Purpose
These funds supplement existing allocations to help schools alleviate textbook shortages, replace outdated books, acquire new technology-based instructional materials and more rapidly align their materials with the Hawaii Content and Performance Standards.
2. Rationale for Allocation
$1,044,705 is available for allocation. This allocation is based on the projected regular education enrollment for school year 2002-03. Funds for New Century Public Charter Schools are deferred. Enrollment adjustment funds will be allocated after the official enrollment count is completed for all schools. The allocation is summarized below in 4. Allocation of Resources.
3. Guidelines for Implementation
These funds are supplemental to other instructional programs. These funds may be used for other current expenses and equipment purchases.
Funds are to be expended in accordance with the guidelines found in the "FMS User Policy & Process Flow Guide" and procurement law.
