B. ALLOCATION PROPOSAL

KEAKEALANI, 16850

1. Purpose
To provide outdoor educational camp experiences to learn more about the terrestrial environment.

2. Rationale for Allocation
The Keakealani Outdoor Education Center (KOEC), established in 1979, is an environmental residential camp for all sixth graders on the island of Hawaii. Students learn about geology, endangered species and conservation education.

3. Guidelines for Implementation
The Hawaii District Office administers the residential camp.
Positions and program funds are allocated to Mountain View Elementary and Intermediate School for the KOEC.

Funds are to be expended in accordance with the guidelines found in the "FMS User Policy & Process Flow Guide," personnel rules and regulations, and procurement law.
